Modification of series Tu-2S with AM-39FNV direct injection engines. Weapons unchanged, bombload could be up to 4000kg.
First flown on May 19, 1945 (pilot A.D.Perelet). State trials (pilot F.F.Opadchij) period was very short and on June 8, 1945 Tu-10 (temporary designated Tu-4, for State trial period only) entered State Acceptance Trials. During trials several modifications were introduced:
