M-120

One of several projects for advanced aircraft engine. And one of many unfinished... Practice of killing promising projects in favour of minor improvements of those in production was typical for Soviet aviation industry of the time. It seems that personal relations of designers played more role than so called 'advantages of planned socialist economy'.

It is twice as unfortunate because numerous promising aircraft projects sunk together with unfinished engines.
