PS-90 engine family built at Perm based Aviadvigatel enterprise, This bypass turbojet two-shaft mixed flow engine has a fan section reverser. Intended for medium and long range aircraft.
The engine is developed according to the certification requirements of the member-countries of the council for mutual economic aid, and West-European countries: ESTAR and JAR.
Plans to fit the PS-90 family engine (PS-90A-76 version) on the Il-76 was announced in 1997. Modification may save the unique plane from being banned from international routes for its high noise level.
The engine is in mass production.
