The RD-1 was a liquid-fueled rocket developed from the ORM-65 by L.S.Dushkin and V.P.Glushko. Normal rating on RFNA/petrol was 300kg at sea level and more at high altitude, with fuel consumption 1.6kg/sec. Engine weight - 215kg.
In RD-1/KhZ (chemical ignition, Khimicheskoe Zazhiganie) form, extensively tested on fighters since 1943, eg the Su-7 (original version), Yak-3RD etc.
