This was the attempt of M.I.Goudkov, one of the LaGG-3 designers, to re-engine the LaGG-3 with the Shvetsov ASh-82 engine.
Diesel(!!) DM-30 was also fitted. It was abandoned even before its first flight, because the S.A.Lavochkin La-5 was already in production.
