I-16 Shturmovik by N.N.Polikarpov

This photo at Virtual Aircraft Museum clearly shows I-16 Type 5 with three barrels in the wing. I know no other Type 5 with such an armament!

Strike version, of the I-16 Type 5. Six ShKAS 7.62mm machine guns were installed in the wing out of propeller arc. Those guns were movable by 20° vertically.

Two built in 1936, did not enter series production.
