Refined MiG-9/IKh with reshaped fuselage to make better accommodation for radial engine. Cockpit shifted backwards, tailfin slightly enlarged. Two synchronized cannons located in the wing roots.
Performance was good (see table), but full-steam production of La-5 with the same engine and armament made I-211 unnecessary.
Two built (Summer 1943), used in factory flight tests.
