Ka-25Ts target "spotter" by Kamov

90k Photo from MAKS'97

Specialized tracker version, used to aim anti-ship missiles. One of systems working with Ka-25Ts - "Redut" (SSC-1B Sepal) . Ka-25Ts is fitted with panoramic RLS "Uspekh-U" (Success), accompanying electronics, and data transmitter. On-board equipment of tracking helicopter reports target position relative to the launcher (bomber, submarine, attacking ship), and allows them to keep (almost) complete electronic silence.

Differs from ASW Ka-25 by enlarged chin radar fairing and retractable undercarriage.

First circle flight was performed on March 21 1962 by V.N.Evdokimov. Passed State Acceptance Trials and entered service in 1969. May be used for SAR missions after winch installation. Built at Ulan-Ude in 1965 - 1972.
