Those photos (50k each) were taken by Ken Duffey at Moscow Aero-Kosmic Show 1995, found at Russian Aviation Page maintained by A.Gretchihine;

Development of the Ka-27. It is designed for shipborn operation from tropical latitudes to the Polar Seas under humid (and salty) ocean conditions. The Ka-32 is equipped with de-icing system for cockpit glazing, engine intakes and rotor blades.

Blades technology (using reinforced carbon plastic) provides practically unlimited service life, requiring practically no maintenance.

The basic Ka-32 is a civil version, but it could find military buyers as well, especially in the Ka-32 naval versions listed below :

Civil version is available in following versions:

  • General cargo and passenger transport duties;
  • Water-Bomber firefighter;
  • External sling heavy lift duties;
  • Personnel transportation;
  • Transportation of patients in the passenger compartment on stretchers or seated;
  • Performing emergency/rescue operation;
  • Ice patrol;
  • Logging hard access areas;
  • Off-shore oil platform servicing;
  • Aerial survey of any type;
  • Ocean pollution fighting;
