Kasyanenko-1/1bis, Kasyanenko brothers

Kasyanenko-1 (21k b/w) "History of aircraft construction in the USSR", Vol.1 p.78

Pusher biplane with elevator in front and rudder located on the tail. Construction materials: bamboo, some wood and fabric. No ailerons, aircraft was controlled by twisting upper wing ends.

Aircraft was built in Cherkassy, and several short flights were performed is summer 1910.

Rebuilt into '1bis' by removing front elevator, adding ailerons. Tested in 1911, but did not show advantages compared with predecessor.
