Pre-production TB-1 with BMV-VI engines was ready in July 1929. Trial program was fulfilled on October 19 without any problems, and mass production started. Now it was fully armed bomber with 3 DA-2 twin-machinegun turrets, men crew and 1000kg internal bombload.
During Winter 1929- 1930 series of flights with variety of payloads were performed (pilots M.M.Gromov, P.M.Stefanovskij, A.B.Yumashev).
