Three-seat all metal multi-purpose aircraft, planned as tank buster, dive bomber, reconnaissater, close range high speed bomber and heavy fighter.
Tailwheel was fixed, main landing gear - retractable backwards behind the engines.
Seven armament options were proposed, with major emphasis on tank destruction. 20mm cannon in nose was movable (10°).
After flight tests (Summer 1937) decision was made to install more powerful engines and make some design refinement. New aircraft was designated VIT-2.
