Modification of the VM-2, built at Lebedev factory. Major difference - operational in-flight change of the wing installation angle. As in numerous similar experiments, no advantages were gained.

VM-4 fulfilled all requirements and passed all tests. M-5 was widely used, and the only built VM-4 was transferred to Baku aviator's school, where it was used for a long time.
