The Yak-3U "White 6" was retrieved from the lake (except the engine). It carried "Red 03" number and had a black cross pained over the red star.

During reconstruction, it was fitted with Allison engine and painted to match colors of aircraft flown by Marcel Albert, the top ace (23 confirmed victories) of the Normandie-Niemen. "White 4" during the WW-II belonged to Roland De La Poype (16 confirmed victories).
